Description of issue:
Application for a mining licence licence by William Bower (WPB Colliery) for an open cast coal mine to the north of Belfast on the farms Groenvlei and Lakenvlei. Major threat to the water quality in the upper Elands River and Lakenvleispruit, the flyfishing/tourism industry, agriculture and other downstream users. Also to the unique and threatened fauna and flora of the area.
