Description of issue:
A new waste water (sewage) plant is proposed for Emfuleni municipality in the Vaal Triangle within 500 metres of the Vaal River and close to the N1 bridge. In view of Emfuleni’s very poor record in maintaining their existing sewage works this proposal will have to be closely monitored.
